Embracing the Beauty of Seasons: A New Chapter for the Podcast

Life, teaching, and even podcasts flow through seasons. There’s beauty in these cycles, offering opportunities to pause, reflect, and grow. In this spirit, the Educate and Rejuvenate podcast is entering a new phase, one of intentional rest and recalibration. This isn’t goodbye—it’s a chance to create something even better for you, our listeners.

Why Pause?

Just like teaching isn’t about working 80-hour weeks, podcasting isn’t about producing non-stop episodes. Effective educators—and creators—thrive when they focus on what truly matters. After a whirlwind year of rebranding and launching our app, my team and I are taking a short break to refine our content and create a more cohesive and impactful experience for you.

What’s Next? Themed Podcast Seasons

We’re shifting to themed podcast seasons, each diving deep into specific topics, such as time management, burnout, or applying mindset strategies to teaching and parenting. These focused seasons will allow us to craft more intentional, transformative content, complete with breaks between seasons for planning and feedback.

Stay Connected During the Break

While the podcast takes a pause, you’ll still have access to an incredible library of over 160 episodes. Haven’t listened to them all? Take our podcast quiz for personalized episode recommendations tailored to your interests and challenges.

For weekly inspiration, check out the Educate & Rejuvenate app, which includes free coaching clips, meditations, and an opportunity to explore the full app with a trial.

Live Events and Bonus Content

Throughout 2025, I’ll host live sessions on the Educate & Rejuvenate and Teacher Goals platforms. Replays will appear as bonus podcast episodes, ensuring there’s always fresh content for you.

How You Can Support and Prepare

Your feedback will be key as we plan these intentional seasons. Keep an eye out for a survey in your inbox or podcast feed, and join the conversation by signing up for our email list here. Follow us on Instagram @educateandrejuvenate for updates, inspiration, and fun content.

A Final Word

This season of rest reflects what I encourage for you as educators: slowing down doesn’t mean giving up—it’s about aligning with what matters most. Whether you’re setting boundaries, reimagining your goals, or simplifying your schedule, embrace the ebb and flow of your own seasons.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’ll make 2025 the year of thriving—not just surviving. See you soon for our next chapter!

One thing that teaching, life, and this podcast have in common is that they are all full of seasons. In this episode, I’m sharing why we’re leaning into the natural ebb and flow, taking a pause to reflect and plan, and how this season of rest will lead to something even better. Tune in to hear how this shift applies not only to the podcast, but to you, your teaching, goals, and life. Let’s embrace the beauty of seasons together. Welcome to educate and rejuvenate, the podcast to help you revitalize your teaching, renew your spirit, and reignite your passion for life. I’m your host, Kelsey Sorensen, a former teacher, current homeschool mom, published author, and certified life coach. Whether you are a teacher in a traditional classroom, homeschool from your kitchen table, or anywhere in between, I am on a mission to help you not only survive as an educator, but thrive. Get ready to up level your skills with incredible insights from guest experts and discover the missing piece, rejuvenating yourself.

Are you ready to both educate and rejuvenate? Let’s go. At the beginning of the new year, it always feels like a fresh start. And I know we’re in January, but I really think of the new year as the whole month of January. And it might just be that I’m really am in a season where I’m trying to slow down and really think, And so I’m not even rushing my New Year’s goals and planning, as you might have heard a little bit of last week when I recorded my intro to the podcast rereleased then. But, really, sometimes we just need to pause and reflect. And life is full of seasons. Because something is good, doesn’t mean it has to happen all the time. Right? Just like we love to help our colleagues when they come into our room and want help with something, but we also want to leave school by 4 PM.

That’s one of the goals that came up when I was coaching the other day during the event. It doesn’t mean that always helping someone is right to do all the time. It’s right to do it sometimes and not at other times. Right? So we all feel pressure to do everything, but sometimes stepping back can help us create space for growth and intentionality. And embracing that slowing down or setting boundaries or putting a time limit on things doesn’t mean we’re giving up. It’s about realigning and figuring out what’s most important and making things better than ever. And what I wanted to share today is that applies to this podcast right now. After last year’s rebrand and non stop pace, my team and I are taking some time to strategize some incredible things for 2025.
We last year, we did a full rebrand. We launched our app. We still have some thing loose ends we need to wrap up with that, and that is our focus, especially for the next few weeks. We’re getting the website and the app working together seamlessly. We wanna make sure nobody’s confused about anything because they know there’s been a lot of changes. We don’t want to give scattered content either. I don’t want it was starting to feel a little bit like, oh, I need to do a podcast when we have all these other things going on. And I never want the podcast to feel that way.
I want it to always be content that I’m creating very intentionally for you. And it’s kind of the same way that I tell all of you that if we want to be a better effective teacher, that doesn’t mean we have to be always working 80 hour weeks or that we have to stay hours after contract time. Right? It means that we can put in the hours that we agree we’re going to put in and then leave at the end of the day and know that we’re more effective because we’re rested, because we are prioritizing certain things at a time. And that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re focusing on one thing at a time. And what we’re going to do with the podcast that I’m very excited about is we are going to do themed season. So I’m already kinda brainstorming content. Believe me, I haven’t forgotten about the podcast.
I’m already brainstorming content on how we can create these really intentional seasons that really dive in deep to certain topics and really dive into it. So we might have one about, like, time, right, where we really talk about time for a while and how we deal with time. Another one might be all about burnout. Another one might be all about how do we take everything we’re learning and apply it to our own students. Right? Or the kids that we teach, our own kids, whatever. Right? So we’ll do themed seasons where the episodes kinda tie together with a unique theme, and then there’s a break between each one so we can play on the next one, which just makes it so the content can be even better for you. So I’m really excited about this, and we’re going to be getting feedback from all of you about what we want these seasons to be. It’s not going the and this will give me time to do that too because lately, I haven’t had time to get as much feedback before I do episodes because it’s just like, oh, I need to record the next episode.
So we’re going to be able to be very intentional in creating content that is exactly what you, our listeners, want to hear. I’m really excited about this change, and you’re also going to see a lot of really great things happening at educate and rejuvenate over the next year. Now what’s not changing is I am still doing my weekly coaching call with our members. Like, that is something I’m not dropping. That is something that will keep happening. So if you miss me being in your feed each week, if you’re like, wait, Kelsey. I really want your podcast. You can still come and join us in the club, and you will get that every single week.
And then when the podcast is back, that’ll just be the cherry on top. But, again, I’m not totally leaving you high and dry either. There will still be surprises popping into your feed. Like, every month, I plan this year in 2025 to do a live on both the Education Rejuvenate and teacher goals platform. It’ll be multi streaming where I’ll be talking about a concept from my book. And those, I will put the replay here on the podcast as a podcast episode. So once a month, you’ll have that. And there will probably be little surprises when I just want to record something too that are bonus episodes between seasons as well.
I will keep you all in the know when the next season is coming out. There will be a big launch. It’ll be a big push, and it’ll be amazing. So I’m really, really excited for that. So listener feedback is going to be a huge key to this process, so watch for a survey. We’ll make sure to pop an episode in the feed when that survey comes out, but make sure you’re on our email list so that you get all the details about that. Now in the meantime, I wanna make sure that you still have tons of support. We have a library of over a 100 and 60 episodes here on educate and rejuvenate the podcast.
Chances are you have not listened to all 160 episodes. So these podcasts that I’ve recorded are not going away. They still live here. You have a full catalog of episodes that you can listen to, the extensive library of episodes that you might have missed. And we can put some of the top episodes in the show notes so you can see, like, some top recommendations. But also, why not get personalized recommendations? We created a podcast quiz that will give you personalized recommendations on episodes that might be the best fit for you based on how you teach, what your struggles are, and all of that. So we have a podcast quiz. If you go to educate and rejuvenate.com/podcastquiz, you’ll be able to take that quiz and get personalized recommendations of episodes that we think you should check out.
And that’ll be a great way to have something to listen to while we’re on our break, while I’m planning the next intentional season, and other things that we’re doing here at educate and rejuvenate over the next few months. Also, again, if you still want me to show up in your feed each week, I would highly recommend downloading the educate and rejuvenate app. For 1, we have a free coaching clip of the week that pops into the app each week. There are a few free meditations. There’s some free content in there. And, also, if you like what you see in there and you want even more, there’s the opportunity to do a trial of the full app. So you can check it out and have a week or a couple weeks to do that. So there is a one week trial that is through the app stores, through Apple or Google Play.
But if you go into any of the modules, there is a form you can fill out that will give you an option for an extended 14 day trial. That’s a full 2 weeks to try out the club to get not only the full podcast library, but the full coaching library of 2 years full of coaching calls that you have access to the replays to, and then the new ones being added and being able to join the coaching calls that I do each week in addition to the last summer and winter educate and rejuvenate events. So you’re just unlocking so much more content inside the educate and rejuvenate app. I highly recommend trying that out. This is a great time to do it because you’re not going to have a new podcast coming each week, so that would just give you more new content, especially if you have been keeping up on the podcast a little more. Again, thank you so much for being here in this educate and rejuvenate journey. Being a listener here at educate and rejuvenate the podcast, it is not something I take for granted. I love doing this podcast, and I’m really excited about what’s to come and the seasons we’re going to create where it is much more cultivated for you to have an actual transformation, not just, like, little tip here, little tip there, but that the podcast is going to be a more holistic experience for you.
So I’m really, really excited for that. And I would encourage you also at this time what I’ve done, which is to see what I intentionally need to do. And even being, like, you know, for a while, I never would have thought of, oh, I can take a break from the podcast. I can do seasons. Like, no. You just do a weekly podcast. But there are times where it’s like, well, what could be different? Like, if I could do this differently, what would that look like? And I encourage you to ask that of yourself too, or see where you could simplify or see where maybe there’s a good thing, but there’s too much of it and you need to slow it down for a season. Like, maybe you’re in a season where something needs to slow down.
Right? So, again, take this lesson, take what I’m doing here, this example, and see how you can apply it to your own life too. So connect this to your goals for 2025 or just the vibe that you wanna create throughout the year. So, again, a little bit of a recap. So we are taking a short break here at educate and rejuvenate the podcast. We’ll be back later this year with intentional seasons. I don’t know exact dates yet, but in the meantime, we’ll be dropping at least one bonus episode for you, which is the replay of the live I’ll be doing each month with teacher goals in the feed. So it’s not completely gone. But if you want more content in the meantime, first, check out all the podcast episodes we’ve already recorded.
We have some great ones that you’ve likely missed. If you want personalized recommendations, be sure to take our podcast quiz at educate rejuvenate.com/podcast quiz, and you can get personalized recommendations for the episodes we think would apply to you the most. And then to stay connected in the meantime, make sure you’re following us on Instagram. We have some really fun posts going out there. Our Instagram has been growing quite a bit lately, so make sure to check it out. It’s at educate and rejuvenate. And then, also, make sure you’re on our email list because that’s where we send updates each week and coaching messages and all of that. You can go to educate and rejuvenate.com and fill out any of the forms on that website to sign up for our email list.

Or when you sign up for the podcast quiz, that signs you up our email list. So kinda get 2 in 1 with that right there. And then finally, if you want to have more support from me, if you want something new from me popping in each week, make sure to check out the educate and rejuvenate club. Do a trial inside the and just see if it might be something that’s right for you. There’s no risk. Right? It’s really easy for you to cancel if you need to. Our customer support team is so helpful too. So just give it a try.

You have nothing to lose. Right? So, again, I’m so excited for the future here at educate and rejuvenate this year and all the fun plans that we have and to do these fun intentional seasons that will be deep dives here on educate and rejuvenate, the podcast. But in the meantime, I can’t wait to stay in touch on Instagram and email, and I would love to see you in the club if that’s right for you at this time. Okay. That’s everything for now. I hope you have an incredible day. We’ll talk soon in one way or another. Thank you for joining me on educate and rejuvenate the podcast today.
