Sub plans take me hours (for sick days) or days (for planned personal days). That’s to this product I was able to create a sub binder (finally, as it’s my 6th year teaching and 2nd year in the same position) and have a emergency plans if in ever not able to get daily plans done.
I do wish the daily plans were editable since our schedule is not flexible so I had to create a new schedule for each day based on my classroom’s schedule, but this took me less time to do 4 days than it’s taken me to do regular plans. I was able to copy the pages I wanted to use so everything would be ready to go. Thank you for this resource!

This is a GREAT resource! I am using it for my emergency sub tub. I appreciate the variety and quality of the content, especially compared to others I have used!
Practically speaking, the schedule is an issue, as it is not editable and every classroom is different. There are also some references to kids already understanding how to do certain pages, but I don’t use these on a daily basis, so that wording isn’t quite appropriate.

Hey there! So glad you love the plans! 🙂 The schedule is editable, but I think you are referring to the “Substitute Plan Outline”, am I correct? That page was created to be a “print-and-go” type of page for when a teacher literally has no time to prep. It was the first outline page in the first version of the plans before I added the full editable section. (Now they have been revised multiple times since). In the editable section at the beginning, there are several school schedules in the editable section that you can fill out- and leave any additional notes on the notes page! If you want it to match your schedule exactly, I recommend using those pages instead! I just kept the outline there for more options- and for teachers who are buying it the night before when they are sick! 🙂 If you want it to match your schedule, I highly recommend using the editable schedule and notes page instead.

This is a great bundle that is packed with worksheets. The only downside for me is that we do not start multiplication until the end of 1st qt/beginning of 2nd qt and division is not taught till way later in the year. So many of the math worksheets are going to be too hard for my class, but they are good worksheets just too hard for my 3rd graders based on how our curriculum is laid out to be taught throughout the year 🙁

I really like this resource. Last year was my first year teaching and I wish I had this when I caught the flu and was out for a week! This year, I decided to work smarter and not harder and buy resources such as this one to save some time. I spent 4.5 hours printing everything and putting it all into binders – one binder per day. Unfortunately, we then made the switch to distance learning, so I would have to add each of the documents to slides and add text boxes in order for my students to complete them. These lessons are well made and look very neat. There are good notes for prepping the materials to help you get ready for a sub. The activities from set to set have a very similar framework. The activities were at a third grade level but I did not think they would last long enough to fill up the time in our scheduled day. I really liked the grammar activities and the math review. I do think if these lessons were used at the end of the year when students growing more they may find these activities not as engaging.

I teach 3rd grade. I bought this because I was having to take off a couple of days to prepare for my daughter’s wedding. With all the stress of the wedding and then having to have more detailed plans for covid, I was really hoping that these would be papers I could just add in so I did not have to explain to my sub how to teach the writing lessons. I was also hoping for work that went along with the other subjects we were learning so that it could be extra work if necessary. Though I love and appreciate how much work she has put into these sub plans I was disappointed that they were all written for work that we do farther along in the year. These would work great for the second quarter of our school year or later but not for the first quarter. I will definitely get to use some of these if I have to miss later. One example I can give is that it starts right out with multiplication. We start learning multiplication in chapter 6 of our math books. It would have been nice to see some of the advanced addition and subtraction work for the beginning of the year.
Like I said, I do see all of the hard work that went into making these. They are very nice, but they did not work for me when I needed them at the beginning of the year.

The first thing that I do not like is they said 500+ pages; that is not true. The first 15 pages are the same in each set. I understand they are available aloe as well, so each set needs that detail, but still the total pages are 90-91 (all including instructions, adds, etc.); 90*5=450; that is not 500+. That really disappoints me. The next thing is the rest of the 5 digital sources; all are the same. I am not sure if it is a glitch or what, but all 5 digital ones are the same. As that is not a cheap bundle, I feel more disappointed. The first time I am feeling this, if there is any return policy, I will definitely go back.
